Credit Report.?
Is there a way I can check my credit report and score without using a credit card? Any website or whatnot?1) http://www.annualcreditreport.com you can get your 3 free reports each year (1 from each credit bureau....Equifax, Experian and TransUnion). You won't be able to get your score(s) online for free....although you can find lots of places that can provide it for a low cost. The ONLY score you really want to be aware of, is your FICO score (which is what pretty much any lender uses), which you can get at http://www.myfico.com or http://www.equifax.com
2) You dont need a credit card, but some information is not free. Credit reports may be mailed to you once a year for free (freecreditreport.com). Credit Bureaus have to do this by law. But credit scores are not free, those you have to pay. FICO is the most widely known scoring system, but the bureaus may use any. I don't think you can control which scoring system the bureaus use, you just can order your score.
